The Smeg Collezione Automatic Coffee Machine in Matte Storm Blue combines the convenience of fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee preparation with the flexibility of manual milk frothing. Fresh coffee is prepared directly from whole beans, while the stainless-steel steam wand gives you direct control over the texture and amount of milk foam.

An integrated coffee grinder grinds the beans immediately before brewing, helping preserve their natural aroma and flavour. Both the grind level and coffee length can be adjusted, allowing the machine to accommodate different coffee beans and individual preferences.

The thermoblock heating system provides fast heating and controlled water temperature during preparation. Combined with a 19-bar pump, it creates the conditions required for consistent extraction of espresso and other coffee recipes.

Drinks are organised across two illuminated menus. The main White Menu includes Ristretto, Espresso, Coffee and Hot Water, while the additional Orange Menu provides Ristretto Light, Espresso Light, Long Coffee and Steam.

An important feature of this model is its manual milk frothing system. Unlike Smeg models with an integrated automatic milk system, this machine does not automatically dispense or froth milk. Instead, the stainless-steel steam wand is used to froth milk manually, giving the user greater control over temperature, foam density and texture.

This barista-style approach makes it possible to adjust the milk according to the drink being prepared – from a more voluminous cappuccino foam to a finer, smoother texture for latte-based recipes. Coffee preparation remains automatic, while the milk stage is controlled manually.

The coffee dispenser is illuminated and adjustable in height to accommodate different cups. Automatic rinsing at start-up supports routine maintenance, while dedicated alerts indicate when descaling is required, the water tank is empty, coffee beans need replenishing or the grounds container is full.

The machine features a 150 g bean container and a removable 1.4-litre water tank. Its brewing unit is also removable for easier internal cleaning, and the machine automatically switches off after 20 minutes of inactivity.

The Matte Storm Blue finish gives this version a deeper, more expressive appearance. The blue body is paired with a brushed aluminium front panel with polished edging and metallic detailing, creating a refined contemporary interpretation of Smeg’s distinctive appliance design.
